Matthew Thompson studied Visual Communication in NCAD and is an experienced graphic designer and art director. He has worked on prestigious accounts for acclaimed agencies, Designworks, Image Now (Dublin) and FPA Advertising (Sydney). He now combines his long-held passion for photography with his insight and experience in the design and advertising industry he is keenly aware of his clients communication needs and objectives. His documentary photography in the Sahara won him a runner-up position in the prestigious Observer-Hodge Photographic Award in 2006 and since then has been working on commercial, fashion, editorial and advertising commissions between London and Dublin and is guest lecturer in National College of Art & Design, Dublin.
Exhibitions & Prints
Personal projects vary from extensive international portraiture studies to condensed social documentary projects. Most are shot on transparency, high-quality, large format limited edition c-type prints are available on request.
