Matthew Thompson studied Visual Communication in NCAD and is an experienced graphic designer and art director. He worked on major accounts for acclaimed agencies Designworks and Image Now in Dublin and FPA Leo Burnett in Sydney. He now combines his long-held passion for photography with his insight and experience of the design trade. In November 2006 his documentary photography in the Sahara won him a runner-up position in the prestigious The Observer-Hodge Photographic Award.
Personal projects vary from extensive portraiture studies to recording more abstract and fleeting records of life. All are shot on slide film, high-quality limited edition prints available on request.
Current clients include Helen Cody, eircom, Ulster Bank, First Active, ESB, ITS , Chemistry, Design Factory, Zero-G, The Brand Union, Hudson Killeen, Spectrum, Irish Tatler, Concerto for Constantine and Totally Dublin Magazine.
