Last Days Petra: Jordan Mosab Ahmad Mashaleh and his brothers try make their living restoring neglected workhorses back to health. In desperation dressing open wounds with only with iodine, they can not afford the appropriate veterinary attention necessary or professional shoeing. Recovery can be fleeting and deceptive, two weeks after photographing, Mosab’s horse had died of infected hoof wounds. The shoot is record of Mosab’s efforts.
